I experienced the same.

But I did not give out my SSN. I have met many many recruiters but so far only one brought me a real interview with employer and I failed. Now I skip any job posted by staffing company. I'm afraid they may not be real. Check linkedin, www.indeed.com or craigslist. Good luck!
