So, i would think,

while you are in the current position, network within industry, and look for possible good opportunity

To S,GM2, you want to work against them as much as possible. Not against them on your face, but through your work. Try to set them up, make them fail. Since they are really ignorant at Investment. You know so much better than them. So, set them up.

So now your job is to find opportunity for urself and make your company lose (or make GM2 and S lose)
