Our client seeks a Senior PHP/Drupal Architect to complement its existing award-winning team. Must be comfortable with a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a singular focus on delivering exceptional client service.
Our interactive team supports web and multimedia design, creation, and maintenance. The development team is available to handle requests ranging from content management, full e-commerce or custom application development to scheduled maintenance and operation.
Job Description:
The qualified candidate must be able to own design and architecture of websites built using PHP-LAMP stack. The candidate should also mentor junior to mid-level developers on technical implementations. We usually have several development projects underway at any given time. We prefer someone who has a broad set of skills, aptitude to pick up on new things, and desire to dabble, as opposed to someone highly skilled yet limited to a preferred programming language.
Skills:
Architect, design and develop highly innovative web-based CMS and web applications for our marquee clients
- 3+ years of PHP based system architecture and development of websites
- 7+ years programming
- Familiarity with open source content management systems a must (such as Drupal and/or Joomla)
- Lead creation of technical documentation for system integration, design and architecture solutions
- Knowledge of full web site production life cycle (requirements gathering, wireframes, comp, prototype, development, deployment)
Significant experience with the following:
- Implementing code for Content Management Systems (various closed and open source), Microsoft SharePoint 2007 (optional), asp.NET (optional), ColdFusion (optional)
- Implementing code for Storefronts (API Integration w/ PayPal, Authorize.net, etc.), Forums (vBulletin, phpBB, etc.), Blogs
(WordPress) (optional), Social Network API Integration (NING) (optional), Google and Yahoo! Maps API Mashups (optional), Database Driven Graphs (optional), AJAX Implementation, Intranets (optional)
- Multiple PHP Frameworks (Cake PHP, Joomla!, Zend, etc.)
- HTML, XHTML, JavaScript frameworks (jQuery a plus), CSS and Ajax
- Multiple AJAX Frameworks (Script.aculo.us, Prototype,etc.)
- MySQL database design and integration, SQL
- Source control (SVN)
- Linux operating system
- Expertise with software including Eclipse IDE, CVS or similar, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Basic Linux/Apache Admin Tools, MySQL Administrator, Xdebug or similar
- Some Experience with Server Administration, Web Service, and Cron Job Administration
- Experience creating and running unit tests
- Experience leading a team of developers and ability to work closely with Art Directors/Designers.
- Must be an effective communicator, highly-motivated, detail-oriented and has a client service-centered attitude
