給你一些其它的信息,也許對你以後的麵試有用：一般中小型CPA firm人員的分工不是象４大那麽細。在這類firm裏， 作稅的大部分不是隻作一種稅，而是be involved all kinds of taxes including taxes for individual/corporate/partnership/estate/trust/gift/retirement, etc.。而作公司稅的不作個人稅的很少， 特別是在稅季. 在中小型firm裏， 作稅的人sometiems還要作financial statement review/compilation（當然， 這是比較高級的活） and audit, too. 所以，我其實覺得在剛工作或自己沒多少經驗時， 進這類firm其實學的更多 as long as u r not required to do bookkeeping/bank reconciliation only, etc for more than 3 months in the firm.我記得我找工作時， 我連intern都沒作過（我在國內是學英文和地理的）， 但經過一年的在這類firm鍛煉之後，我完全不象新手,很enjoy.
所以， 如果你以後還有麵試機會時， 遇到這類問題， 你可以根據職位的要求來說為什麽你沒留在４大，such as:
1.there was no opening that time due to big laid off at Big 4; or,
2.I want to be involved in various kinds of tax returns to learn more, but at Big 4, I can only be involved in individual tax; or,
3.I like to work in mid-sized, or small-sized firms because I can have chances to be exposed to variety of jobs; or
4. I like to do individual tax, but I am more interested in doing corporate taxes;
等等 等等 any reasonable explanation ...
