Since you have a physics degree, you are cool! People knew you are smart.
Since you knew how to code C++, it is not hard for you to do other Data associated job.

With a physics degree, with know of C++, if you are ot sure what to do, come do Database.
Learn your skill, update resume, look Database Analyst or Reporting Engineer...
