My opinion,the way your company handled is more a show,

than personal. As you said, the women you "sexual harassed" is big half "African American". Your company was afraid she goes to court to sue the company if CEO didn't deal with it seriously. That's why, the CEO didn't listens to you at all, because he didn't want to. He/She just wanted to "SHOW" this woman the company is good to her. On the other hand, the CEO totally knew what's going on! That's why he didn't let you go. He didn't want to lose you - a person that really matter to him. The contract, the money are all the excuses to use to tell other people why company didn't let you go. So, don't need to feel bad, but do need to lear a lesson from it.
