2. should have win 2003/2008 enterprise edition, standard is ok;
3. should have clustering setup with the OS;
4. raid and san environment; and,
5. file group(s)

others...I do not recall...

hope this gives you some idea...

question for you:

why not windows 2008 with virtual, plus sql 2008? since sql 2008 is the same $$$ as sql 2005.
