and how senior you are (how many year of working experience you have). sounds like you are on the right track (networking, updating the resume and posting them), it's just a matter of time. about keeping your contact information confidential, I am sure you can set your account accordingly.

just remember to update your resume weekly - I heard that since there are so many people applying for jobs now, your resume can be easily burried underneath thousand of resumes if you don't update it periodically. an accountant friend told me that, one time, the hiring manager received 700 applications for one accountant opening. imagine that.
