It's not that simple.

the 1/x in 3/x and 6/x is not the same because in the 2 cows/6 days case, more grass are grown on the grass the third cow supposed has eaten in the 3 cows/3 days case.

The base on which the 1/x rate is applied is different between the two cases. Think about it.
