To read a book in order to perform at work? Fat chance.

You need to learn stuffs on the job either by attending company-sponsored trainings or tricks gleaned from your co-worker's work.

A book, no matter how GOOD it is, would not take the place of real world experience. That's why reading bible alone is not going to convert you into a believer. But talking to Jesus in person will!
