Hello all, I received an offer letter and the company ask me to sign the agreement of “upon termination of the agreement, I shouldn’t be employed by or work directly or indirectly for any company, enterprise or business in any way competing with this hiring company for a period of one year”. I wonder can I reject this offer letter later if I sign it now. Does this agreement restrict my possible new offer in the coming weeks? Thanks
-- As long as you do not start work, you are free to chose other offers.
-- If you sign the offer letter and start work for them, then you are tight or bind with what you have signed.
-- If you don't like the items on the offer letter, just cross that part out, only sign the part you accept.
-- there is NO so called standard offer letter in this world, you only sign or accept whatever you like.
Thanks!
