Look at how many "smart" people from top MBA schools using that "MBA" express way and went to wall street. The result is such a mess!
In my opinion, financial industry will be much more regulated and opportunity to make crazy money is going to be less. But the payout from this investment related business is still going to be higher as it's more risky than other jobs such as IT.
Right now, it's extremely hard to get into investment related financial industry if you don't have any experience. Maybe you can get a PhD in hard science first while waiting for this industry to thaw.
