always part in good terms - may benefit you

i hated my last boss for some weird reasons and i could give him a bad feedback when I left. However, I filled in the questionnaires with good words and praise, etc. I had no contact with him since then.

This year, they had a lawsuit with another company and I might need to be on court as witness. I called my preivous boss after the New Year with greetings, and we talked about the case and lots of other stuff. I told him that my company are not doing good and may lay-off me because I am the newcomer and hignest paid on the similar position level, etc. He immediately offers me an opportunity to come back and work for him again. Or he said he will give me good recommendation letters. Well, I certainly feel good now that I did not put any bad word in that feedback sheet.
