90% of CPA exam contents is from your undergraduate accounting education instead of your graduate level accounting education although setting for CPA exam in many states do require you have at least 150 course credits. However, a person with a graduate accounting degree is definitely an advantage because people will assume you have a better grasp of accounting principles than people only have a BS accounting degree.

First of all, if you did not take any undergraduate accounting courses before, it is impossible that you can get a MS degree in accounting in one year. Undergraduate accounting courses teach you how to do book keeping and how to prepare financial statements and graduate accounting courses teach you how to interpret accounting data and all kinds of financial reports. If you don't know how to prepare them in first place how can you interpret them? So before you begin to take graduate accounting courses, you have to take many undergraduate accounting courses first and it may take you additional one year to finish them.
