would be to suggest building up some kinda process to standardize things to avoid existing problems. depending on your boss' boss level. If he is high up there, they usually like "process". This is tricky becaue you are telling him subtly there is an exisitng problem, but you are giving him a resolution. My own boss is an expert on this. I suck at it.
