some resolution:
1. I will be as submissive as possible since I do feel this is one of the problems. They do expect an Asian, especially female to be submissive and this is what they saw before with another chinese woman. But what happened to that woman was not pleasant at all. So my aggressive and stubborn way to push program forward must have surprised many people here.
2. I will talk with the leader in the other group to weigh the option of jumping boat and try to keep it as quiet as possible,. It is almost impossible since both my boss and our group lead know that I am helping that group. and I am doing it very willingly. They do not like it but they have to keep their "collaborative" attitude, at least on surface.
