We chinese like to thnik learning opportunity is more important. (So called life long student mentality). It maybe true for a person starting a career. But once you have some experience, you should focus on what you earn. Maximize the financial benefit based on what you already know.

How many American boss know more than us, how many american boss make more than us? That's the key.
