回複：請教一下：PostDoc 可以申請本學校的Faculty position 嗎？

I am working as faculty in the past 6 years in US. There is not rule about Post Doc can't apply for faculty position.

But if you are Post Doc, you boss will a professor. Other professor will think you are on his/her side. If the professor is a strong person and like you so much, he/she may help you. But most time he/she doesn't care. Also you used to be his or her empolyee. If you are faculty, you will be equael to him/her in the future. What he/she feels.

That is why not many people from postdoc to Faculty in same department.

Just my two cents.
