Position Summary
Our highly motivated and independent team of data analysts has an
exciting opportunity available for a Statistical Analyst to
participate in algorithm development for biomarker discovery,
experiment design, analysis of protein array data, and other analysis
and algorithm development projects. The covered biomarker assays
support our undergoing R&D efforts, utilize a variety of platforms,
and support projects ranging from early to late development. The
position may also contribute to the developmentof infrastructure tools
to support data analyses. The candidate will be responsible for
initiating, managing, and maintaining multiple internal and external
projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams including
representatives from Research and Clinical Development. Your ability
to apply novel analysis algorithms will be key to your success.
Requirements
To qualify, you should have an MS/PhD in Statistics or a related
field, 2-4 years of relevant work experience and familiarity with
statistical analysis, machine learning and statistical modeling. A
rigorous computer science background is essential, along with data
management skills, including familiarity with relational databases and
SQL and programming in S (S plus or R). Demonstrated technical
proficiency, scientific creativity, strong communication skills and
the ability to work effectively both independently and in
collaborative research teams are also necessary.
Preferred:
3+ plus years relevant experience in a
biotech/pharmaceuti cal/diagnostic industry preferred.
Experience with at least one of the following is preferred:
Statistics, LIMS, and data analyses of high-content data sets.
Experience with programming languages (such as R, Excel Macro, Perl).
A strong scientific background with a proven track record of productivity.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
