its a financial instrument to use debt to amplify Gain (Loss). Return is calculated on Equity, (return on equity), with huge leverage, ROE ratio is extremely high thus profitable. Vise versa, loss could be extremely bad as well that's why we are in deep sh!t. 你所說的例子的 ROE 是100%.
