He likes his job, but not the company. Financially we can afford to be out of jobs for a year, but not much longer. He would definitely appreciate it if he can take the summer off with a severance pay, but he is not sure how soon he can find a job. The office is closing in March. It's so much work to move and sell the house.

I didn't really actively look for a job so I am not sure how soon I can land a job if I really look. I am looking for a junior software position, he looks for a senior hardware design position.
