Perfect Personality as a ERP consultant or DB consultant

You stay with the same employer, they send you to the client company, the longest time is around 1.5 yr, then you change to another one, but you do not need change employer.
You keep learning new stuff, you keep knowing new people.

This is one of the Unix Admin Contractor told me when he left our site. He did consultant job for ~10 years, he like it.

And they other surprising thing he told me (at Thansgiving time): " You see companies are lay off people now, tell you what, after the new year, they will find they do not have enough people to do the job, specially they do not have enough people have the necessary skill to do the job, so they have to hire again, they have to give tow or three month to have a employee reach the productable status..."
