It is a so weired

I just finished a project and there are two more small ones are coming soon. so during this trainsition period I have nothing to do and I asked my boss for assignments last wondesday but he did not response to me, then I had to put my vacation time on my time sheet. I guess he wants me to put my vacation time but he did not want say it. What does his silence mean? He is in another location.
