Position: OCT Optical Engineer

Description:
Job Responsibilities:

8226; Independently design, fabricate, characterize and test OCT optical components, modules and systems. Development ranging from conceptualization to prototype through production.

8226; Create all necessary design documentation (design requirements, specifications, reports, etc.) and procedures per company regulations. 8226; Maintain and enhance the functional performance of test equipment

8226; Analyze the root cause of problems, summarize and present the results to the team and/or customers.

8226; Manage product development in terms of schedules, material arrangements, tooling, fixtures, etc.

Job Qualifications:

8226; MS or PhD in EE, physics, or optics and 2+ years industry experience in the fields of fiber optic instrumentation or communications

8226; OCT experience, such as wavelength swept laser sources, interferometers, TD-OCT, FD-OCT, etc.

8226; Hands-on optical experimental skills in fiber optics and free space

8226; Test automation skills via LabView or other platforms

8226; Familiar with instrument to PC or microprocessor communication protocols such as RS-232, USB, Ethernet and GPIB

8226; Extremely motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment

8226; Straightforward, self-motivated, and trustworthy

8226; Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
