Happy New Year!!!

I finished my on-site interview before Christmas. After my following-up, the HR replied:
"We probably won't know anything until the end of Jan."
One of the interviewer replied:
"Things are moving very slowly around the holiday. We are still at an early stage in the process. So please be patient. Thanks, "

This is a big company. After the interview, the HR called me back and asked some questions regarding salary (open) and starting date (immediately). She also told me that I was a strong candidate.
I did my internship at this firm and my application was referred by my previous internship director.
