Many of the comments below totally missed my point: it is not a good idea, actually it is dangerous to give too much power to any single party, be it Republican or democrats. Because Republican already has the congress and the supreme court is conservative, a republican president would give republican party too much power. That's not a good thing. Romney himself does not seem to be a nut, but don't expect him to stand up to the right wing extremists within the republican party: those tea baggers have the grand old party by the balls right now.
By the way, if the situation is reversed, that is, If democrats have both the House and Senate and the supreme court is liberal, then I would probably vote for a republican president, as long as the candidate is not Sarah Palin:-)
