The carburetor use the intake air flow to generate a low pressure area in the throttle area. The low presure will suction the gasoline from a temporary storage place in the carburetor. If the engine is too hot and gasoline will evaporate from that storage space before it can mix with the intake air flow.
The fuel injection engine use a high pressure pump to send the gasoline to the fuel injector. The fuel flow is controlled by how long (the time) the injector releases the fuel to the intake air flow. There is no open space in the fuel loop. That is why it will not happen to the fuel injection engine.
