回複:Come on! Torque (扭力) Matters

Horse power (HP) is one thing and car makers only list peak HP and HP band is not level as people posted above.  Definition of HP involes time but torque does not.  This is why you can rev up a small engine with large HP output, but not much torque especially at low r.p.m range - a typical Honda engine.  Torque is the force without time involved.  It's the torque that does the job of towing heavy staff - a Ford F150  engine.  A small Honda engine will never be able to tow a big boat as a F150.  It's the low r.p.m torque gives you the feel of power when you start moving your car from still.
