I've followed yours and Lyedge's reply and tried applying braking many times while car is in reverse. However it was not very successful. Could you please take a look on my replies to Lyedge and others for what i did and my following up questions? Did I do something wrong or I do not understand your instructions fully?

What I did was to apply foot braking while car is in reverse. Did you guys actually mean to apply parking brake while the car is in reverse? I realize that inside the drum it is the parking brake shoe level metal piece engages with the adjuster star wheel teeth. This is just my guess as I haven't had chance to try it out.
