a technology that has been in developement for more than 20 years. Gasoline direct injection to the combustion chamber is very complicated process. It is more complicated than the Diesel engine. I think it is still up to the long term reliability determination. But if the price of the car is around US$20,000, it is worth the risk. Just treat it as an expensive and joyful toy.
