可否肯定是發電機壞了？

2006 sienna LE, Jan 06 買的新車。昨天下午發現電池燈亮，今早出去正常，下午第一次沒打著馬達還轉，第二次隻有疙瘩聲。量空載電壓12.3~12.4V，連線時量11.4V，拆下送Kregen用手持表量說是“unstable battery",說必須換。換新的還是燈亮，下午出去用了三次，不知明天如何。說已買的電池不能退了。
網上賣的alternator約半價打算自己換。問題是，可否肯定它壞了？是否還有保修（corolla nitrigen sensor 保修8萬邁）？它位於何處更換容易嗎？謝謝。
