不鬥穠華不占紅，自飛晴野雪濛濛。

百花長恨風吹落，唯有楊花獨愛風。

The race for gaudiest hue they simply ignore,

O, snow-like in the air, they feel so free to soar.

No petals save for willow fluffs love any wind,

To be borne down by gusts all blossoms long abhor.

All races for loud colours they simply ignore,

O, snow-like, athwart wilds, they feel so free to soar.

No petals save for poplar fluffs love any wind,

To be brought down by gusts all blossoms long abhor.
