夢歌

       陽光、月光、

       暮光，星光——

白天結束黃昏時，

       一梟唱，

       涼露降

橡木山楂樹林裏。

 

       燈籠光，蠟燭光，

       炬光，無光：

夜晚來臨的黑暗，

       獅子猛吼，

       傾瀉憤怒

荒野之地多遙遠。

 

       鬼燈，蝠燈，

       火把燈和蟾燈，

大海閃爍著灰色的光芒，

       有小臉帶笑容

       在夢的誘惑中

在遙遠的奇妙世界上。

Gloaming at the close of day,

     And an owl calling,

     Cool dews falling

In a wood of oak and may.

 

     Lantern-light, taper-light,

     Torchlight, no-light:

Darkness at the shut of day,

In wild waste places far away.

 

     Elf-light, bat-light,

     Touchwood-light and toad-light,

And the sea a shimmering gloom of grey,

     And a small face smiling

     In a dream's beguiling

In a world of wonders far away.
