千山鳥飛絕，
萬徑人蹤滅，
孤舟蓑笠翁，
獨釣寒江雪。

Birds into extinction in all mountains fly
On no path in the world do human traces lie
In a lonely boat sits an old man in bamboo and hay
fishing alone on a cold river when snow falls from the sky
