Success Comes From Having The Right Goals

成功來自建立正確的目標

God’s goal for your life begins with who you are on the basis of what God has already done for you (See 2 Peter 1:3-10).

上帝給你生活的目標起點是從你是誰開始的,以上帝已經為你所做的事情為基礎(見彼得後書1 3-10節)。

We start with what we believe (faith).  Our primary job then is diligently to adopt God’s character goals--- goodness (moral excellence), knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and Christian love --- and apply them to our lives.  Focusing on God’s goals will lead to success in God’s terms.

我們從自己所信的內容開始(信仰). 我們的主要工作是勤勉地采用上帝的性格目標---良善(道德優秀),知識,自我節製,堅韌,聖潔,兄弟般的恩慈和基督的愛---把它們應用到我們的生命中。 以上帝的目標為中心,將帶來上帝所定義的成功。

Reaching God’s goals is not dependent on other people or talents, intelligence or gifts.  Every Christian can know who they are in Christ and grow in character.

達到上帝的目標不取決於其他人或自己的才幹,智慧或者天賦。每個基督徒都能知道他們自己是誰並且在性格上成長。

For Joshua, success hinged entirely on one thing: whether or not he lived according to what God had said (Joshua 1:7,8).

對約書亞來說,成功僅取決於一件事:他是否照著上帝所說的生活了(約書亞記1 7-8 節)。

Success is accepting God’s goal for our lives and by His grace becoming what He has called us to be.

成功是接受上帝給我們生命所定的目標,並籍著他的恩典成為他召我們要我們成為的人。

Significance Comes From Proper Use of Time

意義來自於妥善利用時間 

What is forgotten in time is of little significance.  What is remembered for eternity is of great significance. 

隨時間被遺忘的事意義很小,在永恒裏有記憶的事意義極大。

“If any man’s work… remains, he shall receive a reward.” (1 Corinthians 3:14)

“如果人所造的。。。。存得住,他就要得賞賜。”(哥林多前書3 14節)

“Training yourself to be godly.  For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” (1 Timothy 4:7,8)

“在敬虔上操練自己。操練身體,益處還少,唯獨敬虔, 凡事都有益處,因有來生和今生的應許。”(提摩太後書47-8節)。

If you want to increase your significance, focus your energies on significant activities: those that will remain for eternity.

如果你想提高你的意義,把你的能量用在有意義的活動上:那些能留到永恒的事情上。

Fulfillment Comes From Serving Others

充實來自於服務別人

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10).

“各人要照所得的天賦服侍別人,忠心施行神的各樣恩典。”(彼得前書410節)。

Fulfillment is discovering our own uniqueness in Christ and using our gifts and talents to build others up and glorify the Lord.

充實是發現我們自己在基督裏的獨特性,並用我們的天賦才能去建立他人,榮耀主。

The key is to discover the roles we occupy in which we cannot be replaced, and then decide to be the person God wants us to be in those roles.

關鍵在於發現我們不可被別人替代的角色,並決定在那些角色裏成為上帝要我們成為的人。d們有權利批評別穌相通een merciful to us ( uulu

Satisfaction Comes From Living A Quality Life

滿足來源於活出一個優質的生命

Satisfaction comes from living righteously and seeking to raise the level of quality in our relationships and in what we do.

滿足感來源於過一個公義的生活, 並尋求提高我們與神與人關係的質量,和我們所作事情的質量。

“Blessed are those hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6)

“饑渴慕義的人有福了,他們必得飽足。” (馬太福音56節)

Satisfaction is a quality issue, not a quantity issue.  The key to personal satisfaction is not found in doing more things but in keeping our commitment to quality in the things that we are already doing.

滿足感是一個質量問題,不是個數量問題。 個人滿足的關鍵不在於做更多的事,而在於在我們已經做的事情當中堅持我們的承諾,做出質量來。

 Happiness Comes From Wanting What We Have

幸福來源於想往我們所有的東西

The world’s  concept of happiness is having what we want.  Yet true happiness is wanting what we have.

世界的幸福概念是擁有我們想要的。但真正的幸福是想往我們已有的。

“Godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.  But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.” (1Timothy 6:6-8)

“敬虔加上知足的心便是大利了。 因為我們沒有帶什麽到世上來,也不能帶什麽去,隻要有衣有食,就當知足。” (提摩太前書66-8節)

If we focus on what we don’t have, we’ll be unhappy.  If we begin to appreciate what we already have, we’ll be happy all our lives.

如果我們強調我們沒有的東西,我們就會不快樂。如果我們開始感激我們已經有的,我們就會一生幸福。

Fun Comes From Enjoying Life Moment By Moment

樂趣來自於每一時每一刻地享受生活 

Fun comes from throwing off inhibitions and being spontaneous.  The secret is to remove unbiblical hindrances such as keeping up appearances.

It is a lot more fun pleasing the Lord than trying to please people.

樂趣來源於拋棄阻攔,隨性自發。秘訣是除去不合聖經的攔阻,比如要維持外表的酷桎。

取悅於上帝比試圖取悅於人樂趣多的多! 

Security Comes From Focusing On Eternal Values

安全感來自於看重永恒價值

We feel insecure when we depend upon earthly things that we have no right or ability to control.  We can only find real security in the eternal life of Christ.

當我們依靠我們沒有權利或能力控製的地上事情時,我們感到不安全。 我們隻有在基督的永恒生命中找到真正的安全感。

Jesus said no one can snatch us out of His hand (John 10: 27-29).

耶穌說沒人能把我們從他手中奪去 (約翰福音1027-29)

Paul declared that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ (Romans 8: 35-39) and that we are sealed “in Him” by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1: 13, 14).

保羅宣告說沒有什麽能把我們與神在基督裏的愛相隔絕(羅馬書835-39)而且我們在他裏麵已經蓋上了聖靈的印記(以弗所書113-14 節)。

Peace Comes From Quieting The Inner Storm

平安來源於平息內心的風暴

Nobody can guarantee external peace because nobody can control people or circumstances.

無人能保障外麵的平安,因為無人能控製別人和環境。

The peace of God is internal, not external.

上帝的和平是內心的,不是外部的。

Peace with God is something we already have (Romans 5:1).

我們已經有了與神之間的和好。(羅馬書51節)

The peace of God is something we need to take hold of everyday in our inner person.  We can have the internal peace of God even in the midst of storms that rage in the external world.

來自上帝的平安是我們需要每天都在內心裏緊緊抓住的。即使是在外部世界的狂風暴雨中,我們也能有來自神的內心和平。

“My peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

“我留下平安給你們。我所賜的,不像世人所賜的,你們心裏不要憂愁,也不要膽怯。”(約翰福音1427節)

It’s The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life

這是你未來生活的第一天

Walking by faith comes down to making a decision everyday  to believe what God says is true and living accordingly by the power of the Holy Spirit.

靠信仰而行歸結為每天做一個決定,相信上帝所說為真, 並相應地借著聖靈的能力而生活。

Truth sets us free and we are transformed by the renewing of our minds.

真理讓我們得自由,我們因為頭腦更新而改變。

Nothing and no one can prevent you from becoming the person God wants you to be – it hinges solely on your decision to adopt God’s goal for your life.

沒有任何事任何人能阻攔你成為上帝要你成為的人這隻取決於你的決定:采納上帝給你生命設定的目標。

I am part of the “Fellowship of the unashamed”.  I have Holy Spirit Power.  The die has been cast.  I’ve stepped over the line.  The decision has been made.  I am a disciple of His.  I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.  My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.  I am finished and done with low-living, sight-walking, small-planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, miserly giving, and dwarfted goals!

我是“無愧團隊”的一員。 我有聖靈的能力。牌已經出手,我已經跨出了這條線,決定已做。我是他的門徒。我不會向後看,或停止,或減速,或後退,或靜止不動。我的過去已得救贖,我的現在有意義,我的未來有安全。我已經徹底告別了低劣生存,見風而行,微小計劃,軟膝蓋,無彩的夢想,被束縛的視野,庸俗的常談,吝嗇的施與,以及縮小的目標。

I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity.  I don’t have to be right, first, recognized, praised, regarded  or rewarded.  I now live by presence, learn by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer and labor by power.

我不再需要在世上傑出,發達,有地位,受提拔,受歡迎或追捧。 我不必一定正確,或第一,或被人承認,讚揚,尊敬或得報償。現在我活在當下,用信心學習,以耐心去愛,以禱告被提升,以能力勞動。

My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is in heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear.  I cannot be bought, compromised detoured, lured away, turned back or diluted or delayed.  I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

我的麵容已定,我的步伐輕快,我的目標是天國,我的道路是窄路,我的路途坎坷,我的同伴不多,我的引路人可靠,我的任務清楚。我不會被收買,妥協,走偏離,被誘走,轉回頭,變薄弱,或者被攔阻拖延。我不會在犧牲麵前退縮,在敵對者麵前猶豫,在敵人的桌前談條件,在名聲的河裏思想,或在庸碌的迷宮裏碾轉。

I won’t give up, shut up, let up or burn up till I’ve preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up and stayed up for the cause of Christ.

在我為了基督的事業將福音傳遍,禱告完畢,付完了代價,存夠了天國財寶,並且熬足了夜以前,我不會放棄,閉嘴,停止,或者精力枯竭,

I am a disciple of Jesus.  I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops.

我是耶穌的門徒,我必須要去,直到他再來,要給與直到我舍掉,傳揚福音直到盡人皆知,並要努力直到他停止。

And when He comes to get His own, He will have no problems recognizing me.  My colors will be clear.
