Breast cancer typically occurs more often in left chest than right chest. The possibility of cancer development is also 5-10% higher in left chest as comparison to right chest. Smilarly, melanoma, a type of skin cancer, occurs with a possibility of 10% higher on human’s left side than the right side, with unknown reason.
But I believe the reason is related to the asymmetric organ location in human body: such as heart is on the left side but liver on the right side.
