Yes, I meant 供銷社 for public commerce system. It might sound weird, I therefore changed into "The state-owned store". Is it better?
I think 'corn ears' is accurate. Corn means the whole plant. Farmers were allotted 'corn ears ( 玉米棒子)'.
Chicken perch should be fine. There was no enclosure. Every family used perch for their chicken.
I did use the auto-speller. However, it is unable to catch mistakes with correct spelling but incorrect meaning, such as 'core' for 'corn'.
I have a serious problem in using 'the'. Would you recommend me a book?
