What the police did is totally legal and totally appropriate.
I don't see any racial discrimination in this case.
The school might not want to get into a criminal case.
So the you should focus on hiring a good lawyer.
You might have to spend a lot money on the lawyer, but that is the
consequence of your mistake, and will have much positive effect on
your future.
