不可以，法律規定必須是"a private person ... not party to the law suit".
3. 請第三方交給她可以嗎? 她的室友可以麽? 或者這個 第三方需要什麽資格?
室友可以，必須是： “(2) by leaving a copy at the defendant’s usual place of abode, with some person of the family or a person residing there, of the age of 13 years or upwards, and informing that person of the contents of the summons, provided the officer or other person making service shall also send a copy of the summons in a sealed envelope with postage fully prepaid, addressed to the defendant at his or her usual place of abode, "
另外，關於sheriff不能進入的問題，你的租客平時來客，也需要buzz in，sheriff來了，租客可以BUZZ IN，警員也可以找大樓管理員開大樓的門。
但是警員不會進入租客的私人單元。他隻會敲門，如果沒有人答，警員會離開；如果室友開門，警員會問清身份，按以上標準決定是否可以把傳票留下；如果被告開門，警員會直接送遞。如果送遞，警員給將把室友或者被告的身體特征填在return of process裏麵，已做見證。
其他送傳票人員，也需要有以上送遞手續。
