車禍求助

今年六月底在最不應該的地方（人行道邊）發生最應該的車禍－－撞人。好在車速快為零，萬幸小姑娘隻有膝蓋附近淤血和軟組織受傷。實在不應該因為工作壓力，害人害己，毀了５年清白駕史。
上周保險公司打電話，說對方已起訴我和保險公司，我至今還沒收到sommon.
覺得很奇怪：
是保險公司不滿足對方的要求，就直接起訴了嗎？
一旦開始起訴，就要走完所有程序嗎？還是還會調解？我要出庭嗎（最近可能要搬到１５００邁遠的地方）？
