兩年前的車禍請教

今天突然收到一封律師信， 是有關兩年前的車禍。
Below is part of the letter:
"Please be advised I am the attorney Travelers Insurance Company has asked
to defend your interests in the above-reference lawsuit. I am a salaried
employee....
Travelers has asked me to defend you in the above-captioned lawsuit that
you recently ted to it...
這隻是一個小車禍。我的責任。但我的車隻掉了點漆，而對方的車前胎扁了。當時
被托走了。沒有人身傷亡。救護車是來過，但馬上走了，沒人當時去醫院。我以為
早就沒問題了因為是兩年前的事了。但剛才查了一下claim infor發現我的case仍是
open。有沒有人碰到過這樣的事呀。問過周圍的朋友，車禍比我嚴重多的都沒碰到
過這樣的事。BTW,對方是黑人，不知會不會比較難辦呢。我都已經離開那裏一年了。
請給我點建議吧。萬分感謝。
