據Gothamist報導，6月3日至5日間，ICE在長島的亨普斯特德（Hempstead）與自由港（Freeport）、以及上州威徹斯特縣（Westchester）的新羅謝爾（New Rochelle）等地拘捕至少12人。這些人多為正在找工作的臨時工，當時聚集在Home Depot周邊等待雇主。
6月5日上午約8點半，ICE人員駕駛約15輛車突襲自由港地區的Home Depot，查問現場工人身份證件，無法提供有效ID的當場就被拘捕。據現場工人表示，執法人員來自國土安全調查局（HSI），他們封鎖工人所在區域，逐一盤查證件，他本人因出示駕照才得以離開。
在亨普斯特德地區，當地工人表示，原本每天早晨聚集在店前等待雇用的臨時工人數有80至100人，但ICE突襲後明顯驟降至僅20人左右。
上州新羅謝爾地區也傳出類似事件。據工人反映，6月3日當天共有四人被捕，分別來自危地馬拉、塞內加爾與尼加拉瓜。
ICE與其上級機構國土安全部對此次行動未作出回應。盡管白宮日前宣布，因顧及經濟影響，將暫停對農業、餐飲及旅館業的執法，但未對大量雇用非法移民的建築業作出讓步。
目前尚未接獲市區內有ICE突襲的具體案例，但據多個移民倡議團體表示，工人間已彌漫恐慌氛圍，擔心突襲波及自身。

ICE arrested illegals for deportation at a Home Depot in Hollywood on Thursday. A 37-year-old US citizen, named Job Garcia, obstructed the arrests and pushed one of the officers.
