烏克蘭6月1日表示，烏軍當日對俄羅斯腹地5個軍事基地發動大規模無人機襲擊，擊中俄軍41架戰機，估計造成總值達70億美元。據美國Axios新聞網引述消息人士指，美國總統川普（Donald Trump）事前對這次行動並不知情。
俄烏預定於周一（6月2日）在土耳其進行停火談判。Axios引述烏克蘭及美國匿名官員稱，烏克蘭在此次行動前並未通知白宮。
報道稱，烏克蘭安全部門人員將無人機偷運至俄羅斯多個空軍基地附近，藏匿在卡車中。行動策劃曆時逾一年，由總統澤連斯基（Volodymyr Zelensky）親自監督。
