意大利婦女走上羅馬街頭，示威抗議家庭暴力。組織者稱，大約五十萬人參加了遊行。據意大利內政部最新公布的統計顯示，至10月底止的過去12個月中，意大利全國16歲至70歲的婦女，總共有115萬人遭到肢體、心理或性暴力侵害，較前一年增加5.4%。在對婦女施暴者中，67.4%是受害者的丈夫、同居人或前同居人，其中尤以強暴或強暴未遂案件的比率最高，達69.7%。
