First day of my new job

Today is my first day working as a certified-to-be genetic counselor. I had complicated feelings including excitement and nervousness. I was not sure what was waiting for me yesterday. Today when I first stepped into our shared office, what's waiting for me were new computer, chair and an old desk, as well most importantly kind welcome from all my colleagues. This is my first time working in an entire American environment. All my colleagues are Americans. I am the only one in the entire company who has foreign nationality. It never happened to me before. Therefore, I'd like to call my first day a start of a new chapter of my life and the journey as a genetic counselor.
