Note: A friend of mine emailed me this song and lyric. I love music, I love roses, and I cherish the friendship.

I say love, it is a flower, and you, its only seed

Its the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance

When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember that in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed, that with the suns love in the spring becomes the rose.

四十年代，陳歌辛創作的“玫瑰玫瑰我愛你”，不但走紅全國歌壇，二戰結束後，美國流行樂壇還有人把這首歌譯成英文Rose Rose I Love You，改編成爵士樂，出版了唱片及樂隊曲譜，流行於美國及世界各地，很受世界各國人民喜愛。第一首在國際上流行的中國歌曲。
