鮑勃·迪倫Bob Dylan（1941年5月24日——）20世紀最有影響力的美國民謠歌手，詞人。迪倫的唱片總銷量已超過了1億，讓他成為暢銷音樂藝人之一。他寫過一本散文詩和一本自傳。2008年普利策獎評選委員會授予他特別獎，以表彰他通過作詞及作詩對流行音樂及美國文化產生的重大影響。曾於1997—2002年連續六年和2008年獲諾貝爾文學獎提名。2016年獲得諾貝爾文學獎獲，表彰他“在美國歌曲傳統中創造了新的詩歌表達”。把文學獎授予已經享譽全球的音樂家，會有助於提高諾貝爾文學獎的聲望，讓純文學擁有更多的讀者？還是為了安撫美國，莫裏森之後時隔23年，終於又有一位美國人獲獎了。諾獎評委冷落那些全心投入嚴肅文學創作，且取得傑出成就的作家，早有先例，已經見怪不怪了。

我來到孤獨的朝聖者躺臥之地，
耐心地站在他的墳邊，

Lone Pilgrim
I came to the place where the lone pilgrim lay,
