201 凸子日記：Iraq Study Group 和美國對外政策

The Iraq Study Group’s report issued a cold hard outlook over Iraq War.

The problems addressed was:

1)      Our country deserves a debate that prizes substance over rhetoric.

2)      Americans are dissatisfied not only in the situation in Iraq, but also in the state of American debate regarding Iraq

3)      Fundamental changes needed not only in Baghdad, but also in Washington.

4)      US foreign policy is doomed to a failure

5)      A 100-percenters (who insists Iraq war) is  a person you don’t want to be around.

6)      But the bipartisan group would not directly criticize Bush (during a war).

這個結果中最大的不期，就是它建議美國政府重新考慮其外交方麵的政策方向。這在戰時很少見。原因很簡單，目前的美國國內對伊戰存在嚴重分歧，而且希望改變的聲音占大多數了。這與4年前布什政府靠愛國主義的口號所積攢起來的人氣有明顯區別。
