A great movie - The Pursuit of Happyness

一直想看卻沒有機會，直到今晚才得閑一睹。卻沒料到，忍不住又看了第二遍。這部源自Christopher Gardner的真人真事的電影，再一次強調了一個被無數電影、書籍和演講所表達的道理：隻有不敢做的事情，沒有做不到的事情。

主人翁和他兒子的一段對話可以說是整個電影的點睛之筆：
Christopher Gardner: Don't ever let someone tell you, you can't do something. Not even me.
Christopher Gardner: All right?
Christopher: All right.
Christopher Gardner: You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you that you can't do it. You want something? Go get it. Period.

然而成功並非隻是有“做”的膽量和激情，從Christopher Gardner的身上我至少看到了幾點一個成功者不可或缺的要素：

1、堅韌。這是電影著力的主題。正如Steve Jobs所說："Sometimes life hits you like a brick"，我們必須爬起來，前進 - 哪怕是失去配偶、無家可歸。
2、樂觀。每天打幾百個Cold Calls，領教幾百個No，有幾個人還能麵帶微笑？
3、人脈。沒有那場球賽給Christopher Gardner帶來的朋友關係，他的個人曆史極可能改寫。
4、好學。看似簡單的起早貪黑和廢寢忘食，不是每個人能做到的。
5、信仰。那時主人翁的精神支柱，在他最困難的時候支持他前行。
6、幽默。無論是麵試還是與客戶交流，Gardner都展示了他的幽默感。
7、愛心。除了對兒子的愛，Christopher以幫助別人的心態與客戶工作，而今又投身於多個慈善公益項目，為更多的人創造Pursue happyness的機會。這是電影沒有講述的故事。

記得《Good to Great》講到Level 5 Leaders (最優秀的領袖人物)所擁有的兩大共性：Iron will + humility - 無疑在Christopher Gardner的身上也得到了完美的體現。

每個人對幸福的定義不一樣，追求幸福的方式也不一樣。也許我們每個人和Christopher Gardner一樣問過自己類似的問題：It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that?

但是當幸福knock knock的時候，我們都知道那是怎樣的一種感覺。
