Evan has got a red suitcase when he visited Granna last summer. So both kids have their own suitcase now. Therefore, Daddy made a new rule before we left for the trip that both Olivia and Evan had to take care of their own luggage when we checked in and out the hotels.
As a result, for many times, I was able to enjoy the scenes of a little troop leading by Daddy, followed by Olivia and then Evan at the hotel, each of them pulling a suitcase heading to the reception desk or the elevator (well, daddy had to carry a lot more than just a suitcase).
This was the first time that Evan had to take care of his own luggage (at three and a half)and he did a super job, no complaining at all during the entire trip, it was so cute.
And the cutest thing was after being instructed by Daddy, whenever after he pulled his suitcase inside the elevator, no matter how crowded it was, he never forgot to turn his suitcase around so it would be easier for him to pull it out when he got off.
However, sometimes this could be challenging as his suitcase was fully packed (heavy) and it stood up above his waist. It was especially difficult for him to turn it around in a crowded elevator since he didn't have much room to work with. But after seeing how determined he was trying to turn the suitcase around, the people around him would smile at him, try to make some room for him and even give him a hand or two.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch a good picture of any of the above. I even attempted to direct the three of them to recreate the "troop" scene, but after Evan saw the camera, he refused to cooperate.
So the above was the only picture I ended up with of him pulling the luggage and he was not even looking at the camera :(.
